Following 'A Guardsmans Guide to Glory's' second birthday post, i got a suggestion from Admiral Drax regarding my Elysians. He suggested that now i have the hang of White Balance i should re-shoot the Elysian showcase i did a while back. Looking at those pics again is pretty cringe-worthy! So i quickly set about taking some fresh photos!
For the second time, may i present the 141st Elysian Droop Troop Regiment "Helljumpers"!

Vendetta Gunship - this is also one of two identical vehicles!
Vulture Gunship with Twin Linked Punisher Cannons -this is (you guessed it!) one of two identical vehicles!
I'm really pleased i took the time to shoot these minis again. The last photos didn't really show them off very well at all! I hope that this set is better, and is the least i can do for the 141st!

They look great! These shots are very clear (as well as white balanced!)...
ReplyDeleteI've been struggling to achieve crisp and clear photographs of my minis. My pictures often look like they have some noise / sound blurriness (if that makes sense?)
I get the feeling it is simply to do with not enough light??
oink
awesome paintjobs great looking army !
ReplyDeleteWorth the effort to shoot the photo's again. Very nice looking army right enough. The Taros Assault vehicle has got to be one of the best SF vehicles about. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThis army is a cracker! It's great to see them all together.
ReplyDeleteFantastic stuff.
ReplyDeleteThese pics are a great showcase of this very cool army.
Absolutely superb, mate - thanks for sharing. In fact, you should email them across to the GW website - they're running some great examples of bloggers' armies at the mo'!
ReplyDeleteNow then...if we can just arrange for you to swing by and photograph all of my troops...
...and maybe paint them better than I can, whist you're at it...(!)
Awesome! I love the colour scheme. Echoing what Oink said I would love to be able to take photos like these. Anychance you could tell us how you go about doing it?
ReplyDeleteCheers guys!
ReplyDelete@ Drax - these pics are already on the GW Flickr pool, so im hoping they'll get shown again sometime in the future!
@ Snake - I did a White Balance tutorial a while back, which can be found under the 'General' tag. Prahaps i'll do a photograhic post next week!
