Nomad Tomcat

Tomcat Doctors and Engineers have prove to be a very flexible unit for my Corregidor! Not only do they bring a specialist ability to the table, but they also bring a combi rifle and a light flamethrower which has proven reliable time and again in my games!

I also run this guy with a Zondcat which is on the table at the moment. More on hi very soon!

Nomad Iguana Pilot

Finally, so long after completing the Iguana, i have finished the Iguana pilot!

Although this mini probably wont be on the table that often, i was still keen to get him done. A heavy infantry specialist operative packing an HMG, when this guy does see some table time he's going to make an impact! Now he'll look good doing it!

Nomad Tsyklon's

So its been a while since I've posted on here, but as ever, I've have not been idle!

Having had a taste of the JSA i decided to commit to get my Corregidor finished before i get into the JSA properly. That being said, its only a few months now before the end of ITS season 9 and the start of season 10! JSA will be my season 10 army while i give the Nomads a rest for a while i think.

So to kick off the push to complete the Nomads, I have these pair of Tsyklon's!

I've have had great sucess with these Tsyklons which i run with Spitfires. Nomads have some great combat remotes, and theses are right up there! Decent BS, ARM and BTS and a very quick 6-4 movement with climbing plus and 360 visors! these remotes are fully loaded.

McMurrogh Mercenary Dog Warrior

If you have been following my Facebook and Twitter feeds you've probably seen this guy get slowly painted up. It was time for some proper pictures of this guy though!

Since i started collecting and playing Nomads i'd heard a lot about McMurrough. He definitely seems to be a 'point and shoot' kind of model aimed at maximum disruption and destruction before he inevitably goes down! Certainly not a subtle weapon - i like the sound of it! I look forward to getting him on the table.

The kilt was a bit of a daunting challenge, but i was pretty set on tartan! It also had to be red to match the rest of my Corregidor force. A bit of planning and preparation ensured that i got close to what i was trying to achieve. When it was all said and done, i was very happy with my first attempt at tartan!

The sword is admittedly an area that will need more work in the future. I did just zap it with the airbrush and added a few quick highlights to get the model finished off quickly (due to exciting new models arriving on the doorstep. more on that next week!)

Nomad Alguacil with Combi Rifle

Pretty enthusiastic off the back of the completed Iguana, i cranked out another Alguacil! This guy will probably fill multiple roles in my lists over the coming months (and will actually be on the table tomorrow at Firestorm Games!)

Nomad Iguana Squadron

This impressive model has been in my WIP box for quite a few weeks now. When i started painting this  model i was quite determined not to rush it, meaning i only painted when i had time to finish what parts i started. Sometimes the lack of actual time to sit and do this was frustrating, but it has been nice to casually sit with this model and give it my best. Hopefully you will agree!

Without further adieu, i present Iguana Squadron!

I'm incredibly happy with this  model, and i think it is some of my finest work to date! I'll be looking forward to showing it off at Firestorm Games this weekend at their Spring Skirmish Infinity event!

Nomad Salyut EVO Zond

The second remote i currently have for my Corregidor lists is a Salyut EVO Zond. This guy provides some additional hacking support  as well as an additional specialist.

I painted him in roughly the same was as the LunoKhod Sputnik, but i mist admit that i struggled a bit with the black pods on its back. I just couldn't decide which way to go with the black tones here, so I copped out and just edge highlighted them! I'll have to go back and take a second look at those at some point.

Painting aside its a great model!

Nomad Intruder with Multi Sniper Rifle

Although there was already an Intruder with Multi Sniper Rifle model prior to the Beyond Icestorm set, i was rather taken with this version! Both models are cool,  this one i think is just a little more bad ass!

As you can probably see, the paint work is slightly different than the other Intruder you saw last week. There was quite a time gap between the tow models being painted, so this one did benefit from the more recent painting lessons I'd learnt. That's miniature painting i guess!

Nomad Intruder with Combi Rifle

This is one of the earlier models i painted up for the Corregidor which i just never got around to posting on here. While i am pleased with it, i feel that it doesn't benefit from some of the lesions i learnt later on. Also, i think i spray varnished it twice thinking i hadn't in the first place! Whoops!

Sadly this guy hasn't yet found a spot in my lists, but i think an extra Intruder will always be useful!

Nomad Hellcat with Spitfire

This rather awesome model is from the Beyond Icestorm boxed set which came out last year. The model itself kind of determined its inclusion in my current Corregidor lists! To be honest though, you cant go far wrong with a Spitfire!

Everything about the painting of this model just went right for me! The moon must  have been in the correct cycle, the right words of power spoken, to produce a model i was this happy with! I learnt  a lot of lesions painting it, which i have begun to apply to my other models.

I hope you enjoy him as much as i did!

Nomad Themed Infinity Tournament Tray

I got my first tournament box for Infinity around the time i started collecting my Corregidor, so it made sense to paint it up in a Nomad theme (sorry Aleph, you'll have to wait!)

I bought this off a mate you had an extra one (for some reason!) but the box itself is from a company called Black Sheep (I think!) in the States. Its a cracking box, and fits perfectly into a Battlefoam Infinity bag as well!

The box was painted using an airbrush mainly, and follows the same recipe as the bases i've used for my Corregidor.

I bought the Nomad and Corregidor stencil sets from Custom Meeple which helped give the box a bit of character!

The underside of the top tray of the box can be flipped over to reveal a model  tray.

There are three compartments to the box, the top tray (above), then a middle tray for your token's etc. The the last compartment at the bottom is for your larger items like templates.

Finally here's a few WIP pics i snapped. As with all MDF products there are a lit of join marks where the pieces fit together. I decided to fill these in to give the box a smoother finish.

The most stressful part of the painting, the hazard stripes!! Fortunately they come out great!

Nomad Mobile Brigada

Welcome readers to 2018! I hope you all had a fantastic new year!

I thought i'd start the new year off with some of my favourite Nomad models, the Mobile Brigada! Even before i started collecting Nomads these models really stood out for me. So when i started planning my Corregidor force, i knew at least one of my list had to have a Mobile Brigada link team in it!

Multi Rifle Brigada. This one is from the Nomad starter set.

Boarding Shotgun Brigada. This guy actually proxies as a Multi Rifle at Operation Firestorm II.

Mobile Brigada Hacker. This lovely lady was able to provide the link with some anti hacker protection by using Fairy Dust on the link.

Finally the Brigada with HMG!

The Brigada with Heavy Rocket Launcher is currently unpainted, but she will definitely feature in future lists to take that Brigada link up to the full 5! Ouch!
